Don’t Miss this Year’s “Wreath Workshop!” Sign up today!

The garden club’s annual “Wreath Workshop” will be held Thursday, December 3 from 10 am – 1:30 pm in the Vestry at the Congregational Church in Amherst.  This is one of those rare events that is truly for members only. While it is called a wreath workshop, participants can use the fresh greens and other natural accents made available to decorate swags, door decorations, table top arrangements…whatever.  There is no cost for the workshop, but you must sign up in advance and you must furnish you own supplies (other than the greenery offered by the club).  See the November newsletter for a list of suggested supplies. If you haven’t already signed up, it’s not too late.  Email Doffie Farrar at doffie.farrar@gmail.com.  See https://amherstgardenclub.org/?s=wreath for posts and pictures of previous workshops.

Nov. 6 “Balsam Bling” Program Photos

On November 6. 2014, AGC members and guests once again enjoyed a holiday presentation by Salem floral designer Bill Graham, who was accompanied by his mannequin, “Lily”. Eight lucky raffle winners went home with beautiful floral arrangements that were created before their very eyes, while Bill regaled us with witty tales of his career and childhood.
