Are you interested in your health and in easier cooking methods?  If so, this presentation is for you!

Traditional, old fashioned deli pickles can’t be beat, and they are easy to make.  The probiotic method of pickling is a simpler process of preserving food than water bath canning and comes with extra benefits. This traditional method also adds flavor and health-promoting, gut protecting probiotics.

Rivka will demonstrate her techniques for making pickled vegetables using natural fermentation including dill pickles and other seasonal vegetables.

At this presentation you will get the chance to sample Rivka’s dill pickles and other traditionally fermented vegetables.

Rivka says, “I make my own pickles, relish, sodas and just about anything else that can be fermented for my own family.  I enjoy the time I spend creating probiotic foods and love sharing these skills with others.”

Rivka’s experience after raising 3 boys is that a nutritious diet, including foods rich in probiotics, is a cornerstone of good health. She studied wellness coaching at the Mayo clinic as well as completing a two year course in herbal medicine. Over the past 14 years, she’s been helping  people with health concerns using natural foods and taught about wellness issues and diet. Rivka is also a wellness coach, cooking instructor, naturalist guide & educator at the Beaver Brook Association in Hollis, NH.

Come to this presentation and take home recipes and instructions for the traditional method for preserving vegetables.
