One of the ways the garden club gives back to the community is by delivering either fresh or handmade flowers to the Manchester New Horizons Soup Kitchen each month. Club members arrange the flowers on the dining tables to brighten the atmosphere for the many people served meals there.
Yesterday, garden club members gathered at the library with scissors in hand to make the beautiful felt flowers you see below. Thanks once again to workshop organizers Dawn Burke, Diane Merrithew, and Joan Poltack, and to all the volunteers who helped make these lovely flowers.
