The seed catalogs start coming out right after the new year. It seems as though there are more companies selling seeds each year. If you are buying seeds at your local store or through a catalog, it is important to read about the characteristics of the particular seed you are planting. Some take a long time to mature while others don’t. Some take more room and really spread out; others grow more like a bush. Some seeds grow plants that are resistant to disease, which can be very important. Come and hear more about growing your vegetables and flowers from seeds, with a speaker from the UNH Extension. This is the first in our Spring Series of Evening Meetings for the garden club. The meetings are held at Parkhurst Place (11 Veterans Road in Amherst NH) from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, the first Thursday in March, April and May.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the photo Becky, that is a true eye catcher! It will be a great meeting. Hope others will attend, I’ll be there. There is always something to learn.
