“Thirty Plants that Pay the Rent”
Adriana O’Sullivan, Landscape Designer
Thursday, October 4, 2012
At our October meeting will be guest speaker Adriana O’Sullivan. As you may remember, we have moved up the speakers time to start at 10:15am. Her topic will be “Thirty Plants That Pay The Rent”. It features 30 plants that are excellent choices for our New England gardens. Ten perennials, shrubs, and trees are selected for their hardiness,drought-tolerance, low-maintenance, and multi seasons of interest. These plants pay the rent by saving time, money and aggravation. Learn how to make plant combinations that extend the blooming season and create a beautiful garden with multiple seasons of interest. A lovely slide show of her own photographs is part of the lecture.
Adriana lives in MA, describes herself as a Landscape Designer inspired by nature. She grew up in Holland graduating from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and Design, but came to America where she furthered her interest in gardening and design. She attended Seminars for Landscape Design & History at Radcliffe College and now combines all her loves; landscaper designer, photographer and lecture. She is an engaging speaker, why not bring a neighbor or garden friend to this program.
